A blog is like a diary of a single person or group that focuses on a particular topic or topics, but can be found online. Bloggers are sought for by strangers who wanted to know more on an issue that he/she is currently interested at, but prefer to learn with a different approach such as reading texts, listening to videos or looking at pictures.
Those who are curious about life in Paris would like to check the following blogs:
Badaude – This 2008 Webby Award winner blog depicts the literature, food, wine, art, commix, illustration, paris and hotels of Paris. It is owned by a writer-illustrator who currently is an editor, designer-in-residence, teacher and novel writer.
Ivy Paris News – Ivy Paris was once an art exhibit of 5 artists from various fields. Ivy Paris News now is a website that revolves around art and artists. Painters, photographers, sculptors, conceptual artists, writers, musicians, performers, dancers, video artists and fashion designers can share and reveal any artistic event in Paris. Contact information of artists is readily available for those artists who want to meet with other artists.

La Coquette – This blog has nothing to do with the definition of coquette as a woman who flirts, rather a 29 year old American woman talks about her life upon coming back to his father’s land. Most of her blogs are about fashion. Her approach in blogging is using the first person narration as grabs the reader’s attention by calling him/her, you.

Le Blagueur – Translated in English, the name means the prankster or joker. Meg Zimbeck, a 35 year old woman from Kansas who has been living in Paris for four years as a writer, is not a prankster neither a joker. Her commentaries on restaurants, bars, hotels and shops are taken seriously by known media moguls.

Maîtresse – Books, culture and life in Paris is highlighted in this blog. Elen Elkin, a master’s degree holder and PhD candidate in universities from New York and Paris, has been living in Paris since 1999. Her blogs are more of how an American woman reacts to what is seen, heard, tasted at Paris that non-Parisian readers could relate to.

Paris Breakfasts – Carol Gillott is from Astoria New York. This watercolor artist visits Paris three times a year just to shoot thousands of photographs. What makes her blog relevant to Paris is that the subject of her paintings is from the photos she took from Paris.

Petite Anglaise – This is one of the few controversial blogs that even went global. Catherine Sanderson was fired from her secretarial job upon her boss discovery that some work related issues were discussed in this blog. What followed was an interview from CNN to wining a case against the employer to finally, landing a job writing a novel.

Polly Vous Français – This blog is the work of an American woman who had lived, left and came back to Paris. Her 804 blogs for the past four years had tackled a lot of interesting topics about Paris.

Stuff Parisians Like – This is a blog of O Chateau, a wine tasting company founded in 2004 by Olivier Magny. Past and future wine tasting activities as well as relevant information concerning wine is found in this blog.

The Paris Blog – With daily posts from expats in Paris, this blog has become the number one daily digest on Paris, in English, since 2005. All entries are edited by Laurie Pike.
